Our Team

The Teen2Twenty clinical team is made up of our two paediatric & adolescent specialists, Prof Claudia Gray and Prof Debbie White, and our physiotherapist, Lindsay Kemp. In addition, our receptionist, Junita Kleinhans, will delight you with her ever-helpful manner and wonderful coffees!

Together we aim to represent a centre of excellence which seamlessly fills the gap between paediatric and adult medicine, and also includes forward-thinking health assessments and advice for adults.

About Lindsay Kemp

MRS LINDSAY KEMP

BSc (Human Movement Sciences),  BSc (Physiotherapy)

Lindsay Kemp is a physiotherapist whose career has spanned hospital-based care, outpatient care and sports physiotherapy. She studied at Stellenbosch University and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2001, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Movement Sciences.

During the early years of her career, Lindsay worked in a hospital environment, treating both inpatients and outpatients and gaining valuable experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and respiratory conditions. In 2005, she completed the postgraduate Sports Physiotherapy Course, SPT1, before working in a sports-focused outpatient practice.

After moving to Johannesburg, Lindsay worked in a private physiotherapy practice that incorporated a Pilates studio. This experience allowed her to integrate Pilates principles and techniques into patient rehabilitation, combining traditional physiotherapy with movement, strength and postural control.

On returning to Somerset West, Lindsay established her own physiotherapy practice, where she developed a particular interest in respiratory physiotherapy and the treatment of both children and adults. Following a career break to raise her three sons, she further developed her clinical knowledge by completing the BradCliff Breathing Level 1 course and training in Modern Clinical Pilates.

Lindsay has a special interest in breathing pattern disorders, respiratory care and movement-based rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping patients improve their breathing, mobility, strength and confidence through practical, individualised treatment programmes that incorporate physiotherapy and Pilates techniques.

Outside of physiotherapy, Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors and believes strongly in the importance of movement and staying active as part of a healthy and balanced life.

Lindsay offers expertise in:

  • Respiratory physiotherapy for children and adults

  • Breathing Pattern Disorders and breathing retraining

  • Postural optimisation
